Absolutely. For the majority of the time the student will be under the supervision of the tutor. We send parents pictures of their children's learning and life through WeChat every day. The student will also be given a mobile phone in the highly unlikely event of an emergency and will be briefed on what to do should any situation arise.
Will I get my own privacy?
Yes. You will have your own comfortable bedroom to relax in once the day’s events have finished. Also, if you ever require alone time while at home it is perfectly fine to say so.
How long is the Homestay Advance experience?
The whole trip lasts 10 days. The events take up around 8 days in total, so the remaining 2 days can be spent however you like, revisiting places, trying something new, or just relaxing at the host home. It’s up to you!
After arriving in England how will I find the homestay residence location?
You will be greeted at the airport by the host and then driven to the homestay home. You will also be taken back to the airport after the 10 day experience has finished.
How flexible is the 10 day itinerary?
Quite flexible. If you have any required places to see, or any events you would like to include, we can accommodate that to your liking.
What age guests can take part in the Homestay Advance experience?
The Homestay Advance experience is recommended for those aged 12-22 years old and will be tailored accordingly.
Will my flights, insurance and visa be included in the cost of the Homestay Advance package?
No, but food at the homestay residence, transport, entry tickets and train tickets will be included. It is also necessary for the guest to bring any spending money for eating outside, buying souvenirs and general shopping.
Which time of the year can I book my Homestay Advance experience?
Whichever time of year is most suitable for you. The sooner you book, the sooner you confirm your position. Also, if you book before November 2024 you will receive a 10% discount.
How much does it cost?
The total cost for the Advance Homestay Programme is £3,950.
(For those staying at a hotel who do not want accommodation or food but only require accompaniment and events, the total cost is £3,200.)What other benefits are included?
Besides the fun and learning, students will return home with a certificate outlining their educational progress during their trip. In addition, students will also be given a complimentary reference when applying for schools, universities or jobs in the future.
Do I get value for money?
Absolutely. Look at it this way: 10 hours English class each day with your own native speaker would likely cost more, just by itself. Add in an English hotel each night, plus food, and the cost would almost double.
